Book architect and designer Dinesh Doshi "The art and science of designing the store," takes the reader on a journey through urban planning to store design. The reader follows along Doshi his early years as an artist and designer while studying in India and receiving his Master of Architecture at the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York. After graduation, he pursued a career Doshi held in city planning, but soon developed a passion for the design of the retail store that led to its award-winning firm, Architecture International Inc., which recently celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary - art institute online store.

After suffering a devastating fire at his Long Island, New York office, Doshi lost valuable documents, drawings and designs of the store. It was at this critical juncture that he decided to share their knowledge and experience with the new generation of designers. Soon he approached his writing partner, WB King, who brought the project to fruition.

To date, Doshi has completed over 600 projects of designer shops, including supermarkets, superettes, convenience stores, fast food outlets and department stores.
